I believe God brings people to cross our path for a reason. Though many are anonymous crossings that begin and end in a single encounter, there are people with whom we feel an instant connection or stay with us through many seasons of life. Certain crossings affect us deeply, or leave us with no immediate impression, only returning later as a memory of that moment.
